This year festival took place on 24th-26th of February. Despite the cold and windy weather, we had a really hot atmosphere in the competition stage. This time choirs were competed between each other from Lithuania, Latvia, Poland and Belarus. Seven groups in different competition categories – Female Choir “Jumala” Conductor Sindija Druva (Riga, Latvia), Mixed Choir “Leliumai” Conductor Dainius Druskis (Kaunas, Lithuania), Youth – Childrens‘ Choir “Lira” Conductor Elena Latsapneva (Minsk, Belarus), Schola Cantorum Bialostociensis Conductor Anna Olszewska (Bialystok, Poland), Mixed Choir “Lituanica” of Šakiai Cultural Center Conductor Deividas Kerevičius (Šakiai, Lithuania), Mixed Choir “Norise” of Riga Municipality Culture Union’s Palace “Ziemeļblāzma” Conductor Alise Koknēviča (Riga, Latvia), Mixed Choir “Vyturys” of Kaunas “Vyturys” Gymnasium Conductor Rinalda Burinskienė (Kaunas, Lithuania) and two groups which are usually giving the concert – Chamber Choir “Cantate Domino” of Vytautas Magnus Assumption Church Conductor Rolandas Daugėla (Kaunas, Lithuania), Schola Cantorum Kaunensis Conductor Laima Botyrienė (Kaunas, Lithuania).
The competition took place like its usually in Vytautas Magnus University Theological Faculty Aula Magna. Magnificent concert hall with good acoustics. Choirs were competing first day for the gold, silver and bronze diplomas, the second day for the big festival prize of Grand Prix.
